Venture to Change
Our Commitment
We are proud to partner with the National Park Service in caring for Zion National Park. Our award-winning Play Forever program takes a holistic, collaborative approach to conserving the environment, preserving and protecting cultural resources, and engaging with gateway communities and local indigenous peoples. Here’s what we are up to and how you can help protect Zion, too.
How We Can Preserve Zion
Preserving Zion’s beauty is all of our responsibility. Every mindful choice we make while at Zion Lodge and in the park helps protect this fragile landscape for generations to come. Here’s how we can make a difference.

Reduce
Every day, we conserve water, save energy, and reduce waste like it’s our job—because it is. Throughout your stay, you will notice many small ways we are making big strides. Join other park visitors and be part of the solution by:
- Shorten time in the shower
- Turn off taps while brushing teeth or shaving
- Turn out lights when leaving hotel rooms and cabins
- Use provided recycling bins

Reuse
We’re on a mission to eliminate single-use plastics from our national park operations. Throughout Zion Canyon, you will find hydration stations where you can refill your reusable water bottles for free. We encourage you to enjoy this fresh filtered water, to help us reduce the need for single-use plastics.

Respect
We’ve teamed up with Leave No Trace to raise awareness about the importance of recycling and minimizing human impact in national parks. We want to inspire everyone to help protect and respect Zion’s beautiful and fragile landscape. During your stay, please:
- Recycle
- Pack out litter
- Respect wildlife
- Stay on designated trails
- Use provided restroom facilities
- Protect the soundscape by using lower voices
- Take care not to damage sandstone cliffs
