McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas, NV is the closest major city/airport and is approximately a 3 hours/150-miles away. Please view our Directions page for more information.

Is Zion National Park and Zion National Park Lodge open year-round?

Yes, both Zion National Park and Zion Lodge are open year-round.

What is the elevation at Zion National Park?

The elevation of Zion National Park is 4,000 feet above sea level.

What should I expect the weather to be?

In Zion National Park, winters are generally mild with temperatures staying between 29°-53°F; however, Zion is also known for a wide range of weather conditions. Temperatures vary with changes in elevation. Day and night temperatures may differ by over 30°F. We advise you to check for current forecasts as the weather can fluctuate. You may also check National Park Service for additional information related to weather.

Is there cell phone service?

There are limited coverage areas for cell phone service.

Is there a business center?

Unfortunately, we do not offer a business center at Zion National Park Lodge.

Is there an entrance fee to enter Zion National Park?

The National Park Service currently charges $25 per private vehicle. When entering by foot, bicycle, motorcycle, or commercial vehicle, the fee will vary. Please visit National Park Service for the most current fee information.

Where is the nearest location to get fuel?

Springdale is a small city that borders the park and has several stations to purchase fuel.

How far in advance can I make lodging reservations?

We are currently accepting reservations for stays up to 13 months in advance. On the first of each month, we will begin accepting reservations for the entire month of the following year. For example, on March 1, 2011 we will accept reservations through March 31, 2012. For more information, please review our Reservations Reservation Policy.

Do you have a waitlist for room reservations?

We do not offer a waitlist for room reservations.

Since you don’t have a waitlist, should I check back every day for a cancellation?

Cancellations do occur; however, they can occur at random with limited success in obtaining the dates and accommodations desired. If your first choice is not available, rather than scheduling your vacation around the possibility of a cancellation, we recommend checking alternate dates instead. If you want to continue to check for cancellations, you may do so by visiting our Online Reservations page.

Why can’t I find my reservation through the online reservation system?

Currently our online reservation system will only allow modifications or cancellations to reservations initially booked online.

Can I cook in my room?

Cooking is not allowed in any of the rooms, suites or cabins at Zion Lodge.

Can I bring my pet?

While pets are not permitted at Zion Lodge, nearby accommodations can be found at Doggy Dude Ranch, located 15 minutes from the Lodge.

Do I need dining room reservations?

There is limited seating in the dining room (Red Rock Grill) at Zion Lodge, so scheduling reservations for dinner are highly recommended. They can be made with the dining room directly at 435-772-7760. Reservations are not required for breakfast or lunch.
