About Us
Located in Southwestern Utah and nestled at the junction of the Colorado Plateau, Great Basin, and Mojave Desert, Zion National Park is a stunning landscape with breathtaking views from the Virgin River to the Narrows. Zion, meaning "place of peace and refuge," welcomes 4.2 million visitors annually and is open year-round.
During peak season from March to November, Xanterra employs approximately 170 staff to operate Zion Lodge, which offers 122 rooms, two dining establishments, and a retail outlet. Join our team and be part of this iconic destination!

Live at Zion National Park
Housing
- Room and board costs are $4 per day; the meal plan is $9.50 per day.
- Housing is dormitory-style living with 2 - 3 roommates.
- Amenities included are beds and dressers.
- Must be 18 or over.
- Laundry facilities included.
- No pets or smoking allowed inside dorms.
- If you are traveling with your spouse or significant other, please indicate on your application that you are applying together. Zion does their best to accommodate couples and house them together when possible.
Meals
- The meal plan is included in room and board costs and includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
- The Employee Dining Room (EDR) serves cafeteria-style meals that include a hot entree and side dishes, sandwiches, salads, fruits, cereals, and beverages.
- Vegetarian options are available at each meal, however; the EDR chef and crew are not able to accommodate all dietary needs such as vegan or allergy-related restrictions.

You are able to live right on location and are provided parking permits that allow you access to the restricted scenic drive. With loads of biking, hiking, climbing, and photographic opportunities, the Zion Canyon in Zion National Park is a wonderful place to call home.
